All the salt in the world can never melt this ice

A Fable

Once upon a time, there lived a woman made of ice. People told stories about her, about how once she had been warm. They told about how she used to hug towns people and they would laugh.

But one late fall day, a frost came over night. In the morning a lover came to hug her, and she was ice. It hurt to touch her, and the lover cried.

I’m doing my best to not make you cry, or hurt you. But you’re not the only one. I just want to be able to love you again, w/o having you become so defensive or feel as if I’m hiding something from you. I’m here, we’re here, there is no one else.
